We were tasked with creating an ad campaign for the 8th year of Feast Portland, the premiere food and drink festival of the Pacific Northwest. Enter ‘Feast Your Face’ — a mashup of surreal mouths eating great illustrated food. I used paper cutouts to illustrate the food and drink, and also animated them to use on digital ads and Instagram giphys.

Working with Fort Wick agency, I developed a series of hand-rendered patterns to use in The Strong Issue of the Girls Inc ‘zine. These patterns were created first by hand using marker and brush pens, then scanned and made digital.

How does an insole company appeal to a younger, faster, pain-free audience? By tapping into the visual vibrancy of youth culture. This campaign was designed to show how insoles can increase athletic performance by tying it all into one eye-catching image.

Uncle Nearest is a new brand to the whiskey category that celebrates Nearest Green—the first African American whiskey distiller on record. He taught Jack Daniels how to distill. At Pollinate, we crafted the Uncle Nearest brand from the beginning. I drew a series of illustrations of whiskey cocktails and the distillation process, using fine pens and scanning to digitize.

At Pollinate, we market ourselves a little differently. This poster was created for a self promotion newspaper mailer. We gathered objects from our colleagues’ desks and I illustrated them with a brush pen. I also made the lettering, then scanned and colored it all in Photoshop. My favorite? The Steve Buscemi prayer candle.

Working with Fort Wick agency, I designed the page layout for an inspiring zine co-created by an awesome group of young women. It was my job to take stories and artwork from these young folks and create strong layouts for the printed zine.

I was asked to create a series of loading animation for the Pollinate website case studies section. Fitting into a previously designed concept of ‘creative bombing’, my explosion animations have been a big hit. Artwork and GIFs created through Illustrator.

I was tasked with creating a series of approachable, emotive illustrations for the CCA MusicRX website, with the goal of getting kids to see themselves in the icons and select a mood for a curated playlist. This example is showing a kid who is ‘unsure’ about their mood. I made these illustrations first by hand, then scanned and vectorized in Illustrator.

In this project, I aimed to create a full identity for a city’s tourism branding. Through an exhaustive research, sketching and iterating process, I ended up with this enthusiastic, hand-lettered wordmark, as well as a tequila bottle design and a full brand book.

The project was to create a brand identity for the Uncle Nearest Honor Society, an invitation-only whiskey club celebrating the legacy of Nearest Green, the first African-American distiller on record. The final pick was this handsome badge, used on VIP invites and club signage.
